Workshops and performances are designed to be inclusive, based on the appreciation of all of us as artists, and participants in the world community.
Community workshops and performances range from such topics as a capella singing in the African American tradition to World Music Drumming to Solstice Celebrations in Story and Song. Faye's strong voice and engaging style guide participants in an amazing array of musical, multicultural games, stories and songs. She is particularly skilled at making connections across cultural boundaries and empowering groups to realize their own artistic capabilities. The wealth of material Faye brings to audiences and groups reflects her many years as a performer, educator, and collector of folk arts. In addition to the Bachelors and Masters degrees Faye holds in Music Therapy, Music Education and Education, she performs in schools, as well as performing theatrical and popular music nationally. She currently designs and leads Professional Development sessions nationally on arts integration, in addition to the studio that she and her husband operate where they record and publish educational and music for video projects. Faye performs and offers workshops for such organizations as the Kennedy Center, Staff Development for Educators and NC Wolf Trap.
