  • Faye Stanley is an extraordinary artist and educator who leaves her audiences and her students culturally enriched and personally inspired. Her work calls to anyone lucky enough to experience her to believe that we are all artists and musicians, and that we are connected to others through our music, stories, and art.

  • Faye provided me with a wonderful experience! I have learned so much from her.  She was excellent at adapting the lessons to meet the needs of my students and helped me learn new ways to teach difficult concepts.

Linda, 2nd Grade Teacher, Glendale Acres Elementary
  • “It was great to hear and see the children “bring to life” their own poems with movement and instruments.  This residency has been very beneficial.  I learned right along with the children!”

  • I will definitely use these ideas during my lessons, morning meeting, PYP and other times.  Faye was incredibly enthusiastic and the children loved her!  Thank you!  The children had so much fun!

  • Dear Faye:
I just went upstairs to tuck Chelsey in for the night.  She was bubbling over with the pleasure of describing how you taught the science class today.  She explained about the recording of sound effects, and how she used movement to articulate the events in our earth’s creation.  What a thrill for an average mom to listen at the very end of a day to the lingering excitement in the life of her child.  So, as a mom I thank you very much for all that you add to her experience.  She is “that” kind of learner and it is so nice when things make such sense to her.

Sharon, Mother of Chelsey, a middle schooler
  • My child LOVED this project!

Anna, Mother of Abby, a 1st Grader
  • I only wish programs/events such as this were offered to me when I was a child!

  • I attended every day that Faye Stanley was in my son’s class.  It was a wonderful experience for me and for the students.  Combining movement with music and all kinds of learning experiences was the best!  All the students had such excited and concentrated looks on their faces.  Everyone wanted to participate 100%.  This is teaching at it’s best!
